ELIZABETH BOYD
Graveside services for longtime area resident, Elizabeth Boyd will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 8 at Cortez Cemetery.
Born July 30, 1929 in Cubbage, Ky., Elizabeth was the only daughter of Toliver and Cornie Pittman. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the age of 80.
Elizabeth married V.T Boyd in Amity, Ark. on May 28, 1948. Together they shared nearly 62 years of marriage. V.T. and Elizabeth moved their family to this area in 1961. Family was of great importance to Elizabeth; she enjoyed her time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved to travel and cheer on the Broncos and the Rockies.
Surviving Elizabeth are her husband, V.T. Boyd of Cortez; and her children, Nina Larsen and husband, Bob, Thurl Boyd and wife, Connie, Kevin Boyd and wife, Tina, and Tammy Black and husband, Bryan all of Cortez. Also surviving Elizabeth are her grandchildren, Kim Archuleta and husband, Alex of Cortez, Kirby Boyd and wife, Leah of Dolores, Danny Cline and wife, Shannon of Cortez, Eric Boyd and wife, Nicki of Cortez, Brittany Chavez and husband, Fred of Dolores, Jeff Black of Cortez, and Chris Black also of Cortez; eleven great grandchildren; and by two brothers, Ernest Pittman and wife, Judy of Yukon, Okla., and Herschel Pittman and wife, Velta of Amity, Ark.
