JANETTE MARIAN HESTER
Graveside inurnment services for Cortez resident Janette Marian Hester will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
Janette was born on October 29, 1945 in Littleton, Colo. to Enos Floyd and Melba Lee (Page) Garner. She passed away on May 19, 2012 at the Vista Grande Inn at the age of 66.
On December 29, 1984 Janette married Jake "J.R." Hester at Wesleyan Church in Englewood, Colo. She worked as a clerk in an attorney's office for many years. Janette also sold Avon in her spare time. She loved being around people and Avon was an outlet for that.
Surviving Janette are her sisters, JoAnn Hayes and husband, Art of Cortez, and Gayle D. Villegas of Centennial, Colo.; her sister-in-law, Barbara Garner of Aurora, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Janette was preceded in death by her parents, Enos and Melba Garner; her husband, J.R. Hester; and her siblings, Dennis F. Garner and Frances Y. Garner.
